The UHC Health Promotion Department is home to many student support services designed to advance the well-being of our students and the UGA Community.

The Fontaine Center

We provide a comprehensive menu of prevention, early intervention, counseling, and recovery support services for alcohol and other substance misuse and any student impacted by interpersonal violence.

UHC Well-Being & Prevention Programs

Including healthy relationships, mental well-being, stress, sleep, wellness coaching, substance misuse prevention, and interpersonal violence prevention.

  • UMatter: An Upstander Intervention Program

    Event Location: Miller Learning Center (MLC) Room 277

    UMatter is an upstander intervention program to support a culture that cares about and helps each other in our community. Participants will discuss ways to safely identify and help a peer in need related to interpersonal violence and substance use, work through realistic and interactive scenarios, and raise awareness about support resources available in the UGA community. Choose to care and contribute to positive experiences, culture, and future of the UGA community. Free shirts available for participants!

  • Pride Center "Let's Talk"

    Let’s Talk is a drop-in service hosted by Counseling & Psychiatric Services (CAPS) clinicians that offers informal, confidential consultation.

    CAPS will be offering Let's Talk at the Pride Center on Tuesdays @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.

    During a Let’s Talk session, you can speak with a clinician about concerns, get help problem-solving, and learn more about counseling services at CAPS and other resources available to you at UGA and in the Athens area.

  • Pelvic Pain Support Group

    Event Location: UHC Conf Room E

    An open support group for women who experience concerns related to pelvic pain. This group will be co-facilitated by a psychologist, Dr. Pucci, and physical therapist, Dr. Patel in order to attend to and support the relationship between mind and body more fully. Group will provide a safe, confidential space for members to discuss concerns related to pelvic pain and opportunities to connect with and support peers who share similar experiences. Co-facilitators will also offer education to increase understanding and skill-building for symptom management. This group is open to any women who have been diagnosed with vaginismus, vulvodynia, or related disorders. Group meets 1st and 3rd Thursday from 3:00 -4:00pm Fall semester
