The UHC Health Promotion Department is home to many student support services designed to advance the well-being of our students and the UGA Community.

The Fontaine Center

We provide a comprehensive menu of prevention, early intervention, counseling, and recovery support services for alcohol and other substance misuse and any student impacted by interpersonal violence.

UHC Well-Being & Prevention Programs

Including healthy relationships, mental well-being, stress, sleep, wellness coaching, substance misuse prevention, and interpersonal violence prevention.

    • Offered on a first-come, first-served basis, no appointment necessary
    • Free and confidential for UGA students
    • NOT a substitute for mental health treatment

Whether you are struggling with school, the pandemic, politics, or another area of life, this is a space for you to discover ways to cope and make the most of your time at UGA. This workshop is led by two UGA students/interns at CAPS.

    Let’s Talk is a drop-in service hosted by UHC Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) that offers informal, confidential consultation.

    CAPS will be offering in-person and Zoom hours for Let’s Talk during the Spring 2022 semester. Clinicians will hold a walk-in hour Thursday afternoons from 4-5 p.m. at SLC Room 136 and a Zoom hour on Wednesday mornings from 11 a.m. – noon. To access the Zoom hour, students can sign up at the link on this page.

    During a Let’s Talk session, students can speak with a clinician about concerns, get help problem-solving, and learn more about counseling services at CAPS and other resources available at UGA and in the Athens area.
