The UHC Health Promotion Department is home to many student support services designed to advance the well-being of our students and the UGA Community.
THE FONTAINE CENTER
We provide a comprehensive menu of prevention, early intervention, counseling, and recovery support services for alcohol and other substance misuse and any student impacted by interpersonal violence.
WELL-BEING & PREVENTION PROGRAMS

Toccoa River Overnight Paddle

Learn how to cook a healthy meal with one of the dietitians the University Health Center in the Nutrition Kitchen. FYOS approved!
Call 706-542-8690 to register. $5 per class for students who have paid the health fee or $10 for non-fees paid students. Only available to UGA students. If you sign-up and do not end up attending the cooking class, you will be charged the class fee. If you cannot attend, please call remove yourself from the list so that another student can participate.

Outdoor Photography Clinic

Ever taken a picture of a beautiful landscape and thought, "this picture just doesn't do it justice!" If so, this clinic is for you! This clinic will help participants better understand the many features on their cameras/phones that can help them capture unforgettable moments in the outdoors. Participants will learn the basics of the camera such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO and how to adjust these to take the best photo for the situation. They will also learn about the basics of picture composition such as the rule of thirds, framing, and lead lines.
