Are you ready to break the habit?
UGA’s College of Pharmacy offers “Beat the Pack,” a FREE smoking cessation program, for UGA students, employees, and community. The class meets once weekly for 4 weeks and offers support to help participants on their journey to quit smoking.
Fall 2019 Program
Plan to attend at least 3 classes!
Tuesdays: September 10, September 17, September 24, and October 1
5:30 – 7:00 pm
At UGA Psychology Building (125 Baldwin St, Athens, GA)
Parking is free after 5:00pm
Education topics include: Health effects of smoking or dipping, benefits of quitting, strategies for managing urges and withdrawal, medication assistance.
Meet with supportive and trained pharmacy students to develop an individualized quit plan.

*If you have a partner who smokes, you and your partner may be eligible for a research study (even if the partner is not ready to quit). When you register for the program, be sure to check the box indicating that you have a romantic partner who also smokes, and the research team will follow-up with more details.
