Collegiate Recovery at UGA

Recovery is possible. And fun. Let us show you how.
At the CRC, we believe that recovery is possible at any stage in life. Our community exists and works so that students don’t have to choose between recovery and education. We offer supports and events to help students not only seek and maintain recovery, but also have fun while doing so. If you are a student in recovery, or interested in starting a recovery journey, email Ayesha.alakhdar@uga.edu to set up an appointment for an information session.

Who are we?
The CRC is a resource for students in active recovery from substance use, eating disorders, and other compulsive behaviors. The CRC seeks to support students' recovery through peer support and seminars designed to increase recovery skills. Members have access to a community lounge in the Tate Student Center, a weekly community meal, and individual recovery coaching sessions with a Certified Peer Support Specialist of Addictive Diseases. The CRC also goes on trips together, to conferences and summits designed for CRC students, regional recovery camping retreats, and other cultural or sporting events at community members’ request.
